johnstone
Give us McCormack back and everything will be forgiven. I am sure he was bought for a six figure sum.
DC'd
£400k wasnt it that Quinn went for? I assume it was half up front then half at the Jan transfer window - prob talking about £200k perhaps.
johnstone
Thats enough to buy The Duke! Get the money wired pronto ya Welsh fucks!
underboyleheating
£400k wasnt it that Quinn went for? Estimated £300k according to the BBC.
weeyin
Risdale shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a football club. He took Cardiff to 5 winding-up orders (and put Leeds about 100 million in debt).
Motherwell89
don't know how accurate this is but says 315k! http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/motherwe...verein_987.html
Wellfan1984
I am a little weary of the Transfer Market site as it says we made over £1m in compensation over O'Brien... I know we would have been due some sort of compensation due to age and the fact we offered him a contract (we did offer a contract) but in no way would we be due over £1m.... surely? mikeecee
That might be what they paid for quinn, but what's to say that's what they owe us?
Frazzie
If it's anywhere near that sort of money, I'd tell Cardiff to wire the money straight to Davie Moyes bank account and get the Duke on the first train to Motherwell.

ONeils40yarder
I reckon we can probably forget about seeing that money
dazamfc
We might have made that for O'Brien because he was under the age of 23 and the club is due some compensation because of that.
Lobey_Dosser
Doubt we will get any money from them anytime soon given the extent of their woes. Comforting to know we are due a decent some of money though.
mikeecee
Scenario for you? Cardiff go to the wall. We didn't get all the cash from them. Would we get Quinn back? He was our asset after all!
Burn_Broomfield
uncomfortable to know we were due a decent some of money though. Fixed it. I reckon Cardiff are well and truly staring into the abyss. Knowing Risdale, he'll have drawn up the budget on winning the league and getting to at least the semis of both cuos and selling a few player for silly money. Yes indeed and with Ledley going to Celtic for nowt the money he had budgeted coming in has dropped. Does anyone know where we would stand as a creditor if they went into admin I take it we would be well down after HMRC etc. Did we owe any clubs money for transfers when we entered admin?? star sail
As a club Motherwell can't be to judgemental on this one given crimes of admin past, but ofcourse have every right to go after the money. Only concern is that after the last hard line taken by the club (and strongly worded club statement) regarding post split fixtures, hee haw happened so not holding out too much hope that the club will ever see this money.
