Guest 'Flow
With Casagolda confirmed in... Craig Brown is hoping to complete the capture of a Premiership striker tomorrow lunchtime - Blackburn Rovers' Nick Blackman! http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/index.php?op...&Itemid=132 Would certainly give us much more attacking options! AndyRoss
If he's related to the 'Lethal Weapon' Steve Blackman then I am all for it.
MelvinBragg
Reading Brown's interview, I'm wondering if he doesn't see Casagolda as maybe not an out and out striker but more of a creator. "He'll provide fodder for Murphy and Sutton". Or maybe he means he's bench fodder. The guy Blackman interests me more. Sounds like what Lewis Grabban was supposed to be. Could be a good 'un... No, was talking to Craig earlier and we decided that, given we have our pre-match press conference tomorrow; it would be good to give the Motherwell fans a wee early heads-up! Keeps the opposition guessing too...

Pettywulliegrew-2
Career Macclesfield Town Blackman was signed by Macclesfield Town. in summer 2006 after previous spells at Manchester United., Bury. and Preston North End. Football Academies. He was given his first professional contract by Macclesfield on 8 March 2007, after a string of impressive displays for the youth team.[1] After making his league debut against Accrington Stanley. his hopes of regular first team football were dashed by a pre-season injury that kept him out of action for several months.[2] He scored his first goal for the club in a 1–1 home draw with Dagenham & Redbridge. on 23 November 2007, when after coming on as a 77th substitute, he scored in the 90th minute.[3] He made a total of 12 appearances, mostly as a substitute, for the Silkmen, scoring one goal.[2] [edit] Blackburn Rovers After impressing in a trial, Blackman joined Premier League club Blackburn Rovers. on 12 January 2009 for an undisclosed fee on a two-and-a-half year contract.[4] He scored two goals in his first two games for the club's reserve team.[citation needed] On 4 March he joined Championship club Blackpool. on loan initially for one month.[5] He made his debut later that same day as a 65th minute substitute in a 0–1 home loss to Burnley. at Bloomfield Road.[6] After two substitution appearances, he scored on his full debut, a 2–2 draw with Sheffield United. at Bramall Lane on 10 March.[7] On 20 August 2009, Blackman joined Oldham Athletic. on a month's loan.[8] Two days later, he made his Latics debut in a 2–2 draw versus Swindon Town., playing the full 90 minutes.[9] His first goal for the club came on 29 August when he curled a shot into the net from the edge of the area for Oldham's only goal in a 1–1 draw against Brentford..[10]. Ninja_Turtle
If he's related to the 'Lethal Weapon' Steve Blackman then I am all for it. Can we just claim he is anyway?! Although if he was really that leathal on his own why did he need Kendo Sticks? Food for thought

Lobey_Dosser
Great to see some activity, now we just have to trust broon's eye for a player. Imagine we will find out today if there are any more pennies to spend.
Finlay
Pretty surprised to see this but over the moon as well. Two strikers in two days, well done folks. As has been said if we get in a winger then I feel quite confident about the campaign ahead and our chances of a top six finish.
thewhitepele
Great news, one thing though had a look at his bio on wiki his middle name is Alexander, his parents must have had a weird sense of humour, his name being Nick A Blackman is that no some sort of police motto or something
