nethertonwellfan
Dundee United players scored every goal today in a 2-1 victory for Motherwell. This has happened before in the early to mid 90s! Anyone remember this game ?
Stef
yes was at the game think it was freddy van der hoorn and possibly dave beamount who scored. we played them in the cup the following week much like we are this week and the whole well support 3500 of them without being organised applauded the utd team onto the park before the cup game !! Yabba's Turd
Van der hoorn's face was brilliant
Rickoza
So was Alan Main's fizzer. Wonderful watching him look horrifed as not once, but twice, his own defence combined to give us our first win there since the mid-seventies! casey
History repeats itself! Was at the original in 1994, in the enclosure at front of main stand at Tannadice. First win there since 1975, wasn't at that! Week before Softy game
Finlay
Bit more confident about Tuesday now. Surely we couldn't go two games in a row at FP without us scoring a goal past them

daver
Was Freddy's not a 25 yard header back to Main who had already come out to collect the punt (sorry, long diagonal through ball) and it rolled into the empty net? For some reason I remembered it as being Van Der Hoorn who scored both of them, but if Beaumont got one, then even better!

I thought it was Freddie VdH for both, too.
Yir Elder
The first oggie was a near post flick header by the loveable Dave Bowman, and the second was indeed a mis-directed header by Freddy van der Hoorn, although both goals were scored past Guido van der Kamp and not Alan Main, sadly!!! Rickoza
Aye, yer right. Main was in goal the following week I'm sure and was more than pissed at Softie's equaliser.

TheLip69
I seem to recollect it happened back in the 1970's against Celtic, I think it was Andy Lynch who scored two own goals and a penalty for Celtic. Can anybody confirm that?
that hat
The days of the Andy Lynch Loyal at FP.
steelworker
I was there that night. Wednesday 13 April 1977, Well 3 Celtic 0. Roy Baines was in goal for Celtic and said " I was glad when the final whistle went. I sensed Andy was going for his hat trick."

mwell_fan
Was this the game when the unwashed were coming to FP to win the league? I think Craig Brown was asst manager at the time too.
