Gaag
they'll probably plan another inspection for 9am tomorrow or something.
Neil
Aye, if it's not totally unplayable just now they'll give it the chance I think.
Neil
Inspection at 9am tomorrow.Fishel
something else
Inspection at 9am tomorrow. Nightmare I needed to let my boss know today if i needed tomorrow off
Alan_mfc
It will be called off i think. Will be freezing over night and with an early inspection on the cards it will be rock hard in the morning
Gaag
the annoying thing is they've obviously deemed it suitable for today, so tomorrow inspection is the only viable option. If it's playable today and temps stay above freezing (even just) then it'll be game on tomorrow.
Nijholt91
Get the lads up there quick sharp and get the game over and done with tonight! Don't see it going ahead tomorrow for the sole reason that the inspection is a 9am.. come 1pm or 2pm the pitch will be very different
well_legless_69
lunchtime pitch inspection would be better & still give folk time to get there
Neil
I think its more the players the early kick off is for as they'd need to be there for a while before the kick off, I presume they have a hotel they'd want to get checked into etc, have plenty of time to eat etc
something else
According to the loco's site, if the pitch is ok at 9am tomorrow, there will be a further inspection at 12 noon.
AndyRoss
Inconclusive? Would the park be playable tonight? Would be helpful to give us a wee idea.
well_legless_69
on monday the players were leaving at noon to head for inverurie so think it would be same tomoz
Yir Elder
According to the loco's site, if the pitch is ok at 9am tomorrow, there will be a further inspection at 12 noon. There are both pros and cons to that. If the pitch is almost playable at 9am then it allows them time to get it sorted, rather than call it off too early. Of course if it gets the go-ahead at 9am then is called off at 12, that is a bigger inconvenience! Fingers crossed for a mild night.
Frazzie
I think the chances of it being playable at 9am then not playable at noon are slim to none. I would say the noon inspection is only if the 9am one is again 'inconclusive'. Frazzle
Infamous Wee Grafter
Found this little guide...ain't looking good folks Weather Forecasts Throughout the night/day
roadrunner
This is a bit odd....the players have been told at 3ish today that the game is on tomorrow!!!
Neil
There is no point in looking at forecasts for that area as each one is giving different details, the BBC says it will reach a min of 0 tonight that says -2, another one says -3, we're just gonna have to sit tight and see. ScottW1886
While there's nothing much can be done about the postponements due them being weather related, it's fast becoming a pain in the arse!! As it stands I'll need to finish work at 3:30 tomorrow in Edinburgh and drive straight to Inverurie as I simply can't ask for any more time off work just to cancel it at extremely short notice. No guarantee of getting time off next week either so could be another drive straight from work......
carl_mfc
This is a bit odd....the players have been told at 3ish today that the game is on tomorrow!!! Even if the players were told today it doesnt gurantee the game will go ahead tomorrw. The weather is very unpredictable in that area, just looks like it will be a wait and see. Nobody can predict whats going to happen.
SuperCC
Where is Andy J and his mates in Inverurie? Be nice to know if Locos managed to get any covers on and what the ground is like in the town from the locals........
roadrunner
how did you come to hear of that mate? I got a phone call, they've to be in the club at 9 sharp to travel up.
Mitch
Cant go tomorrow so being selfish I hope the match falls victim to the weather again!
something else
According to sky sports news, the pitch was playable today, so obviously tomorrows inspection is a precaution in case of overnight frost.
Neil
From the Loco's website: An inspection of the pitch was carried out at 2pm today. There has been some improvement and the covers are to to be put down this afternoon. There will be another inspection at 9am tomorrow when Motherwell FC will be advised of the situation, and if necessary a further and final decision on the pitch will be made at 12 noon.
