East_Stand_Al
Apologies if this has been done somewhere else and if so mods pleased delete/merge as appropriate. http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/index.php?op...&Itemid=133 'Well Boss has finally been recognised for his contribution to the beautiful game and been inducted into the SFA Hall of Fame. Unsurprisingly the media coverage of this has been negligible ots all been about Walter Smith. "Brown, bettered only by former Motherwell boss Alex McLeish in terms of statistical records whilst with the national team, was inducted at a ceremony at the plush Hilton Hotel in Glasgow." We're not worthy.

TheLip69
Congratulations Craig and very well done. The one thing that annoys me about the hall of fame is it's narrow outlook on the inductees. If you've played for the OF and been capped for Scotland it's shootie-in. Clubs like Motherwell never get a look in. We've got foreigners in there, Larsson and Laudrup, we've got referees in there, Tiny Wharton, ffs we've even got women in there, Rose Reilly. If Sailor Hunter had done what he did with Motherwell in the second half of the 20th century rather than the first he'd have been in there years ago. It is an absolute travesty that he is missing from the role of honour while the likes of Steve Archibald is included. Maybe it's time for the club to take up the case and agitate for his inclusion at the next induction.

The club haven't even done anything to recognise the great man, so there's not much chance of them trying to get the SFA to do anything. It's up to us then. I've been e-mailing thenm for a few years now but to no avail. Not even an acknowledgement.
