steelboy
I dont think the game has any chance of being on, BBC reporting Tannadice as under several inches of snow. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/s...rem/9269733.stm it seems like united aren't too interested in getting the game on. they were gagging to call their game off against rangers as well. Motherwell are considering whether to put a request in to postpone the match according to this. http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-prem...eeze-continues/

Guest 'Flow
The following games, scheduled for Saturday 11 December, have been postponed on the advice of the respective local Police: Celtic v Kilmarnock Dundee United v Motherwell On the announcement, Neil Doncaster, Chief Executive of the SPL, said: “I am slightly surprised that the Police have issued advice so early, especially when a substantial thaw is forecast over the next two days. However, when Police advice is on the grounds of safety, we have no choice but to postpone the games.” New dates for the fixtures will be announced in due course. There remain concerns regarding the Hamilton Academical v Hibernian game and a decision will be taken no earlier than tomorrow, following an inspection of New Douglas Park. nethertonwellfan
At this rate the next time I get to watch a game someone will have to remind me which team Motherwell are....................... We wont be the team with Craig Brown in the dugout!

Orinoco
maybe that was why Brown was trying our the away dugout at Fir Park
Taff
every weather source i know of are saying we will experience a thaw and by the weekend most of the stuff will be gone but return by Monday. The police are far to keen to advise whoever to postpone matches in my opinion. We have had it a lot worse than Dundee and the main roads are drivable here the now. To the police its just football and there freeing up resources. To us these dodgy decisions will make or brake our season.
Rickoza
If the weather is as bad as forecast over the next fortnight, we could be without a game until Parkhead or beyond. Could be we have quite a spell with two games a week in the new year, and that'll only favour clubs with th ebigger squads.
Orinoco
given the state of utd's pitch, dont think they've tried to hard to get the game on.
Rickoza
Was thinking that myself! Think United have problems with selection?

Celtic blame Kilmarnock for postponement as Rugby Park pitch is 'perfectly playable' As most of Wednesday night's SPL card fell victim to the Arctic weather which still has Scotland in its grip the Celtic chief executive, Peter Lawwell, accused Kilmarnock of negligence in failing to ensure that their home game with the Parkhead side would go ahead Remember this clown ranting this time last year, wonder if we will hear from him now
fatcalf
stopped off at the ground today, tell you what, expect a similar call off the polis for Tuesday night unless some major clearing work is done on the roads outside
Finlay
Hopefully this thaw kicks in over the next 3 days. In saying that it is meant to Snaw on Monday
Special aka
Tannadice being on a steep hill hasn't helped. Condition of roads and pavements obviously a concern for OB.

Never defeated always cheated is becoming a tag on that lot now. They want to take the best talent from all other clubs, arrange the referree's for games, organise the fixture list, say what games are on and what games are off..........the list goes on, truth is they probably have a load of burst pipes in the stadium due to the state of it..... so the polis are in the back pocket as well. KirkySuperSub
Agreed, Crags said as much in the STV interview I saw last night as well, glad to have a couple days to settle down and get back into it come Tuesday.
kevin690
im happy at the game being called off since losing "them" (shall not be named) At the same time though here in dundee, had the police waited till friday there was a proper thaw on, and its well on road to all snow and ice being gone ( hardly health and safety issues anyway)
