rambunctious
Not sure how much should be read into it but there seems to be a large gap between the first and the second death, 12 years in fact. Yet, they seem to be getting more frequent which is a worry. God forbid we have a repeat of Dec. 2007 , defribrilators should be present and it would be a good idea to have players going through some sort of regular heart screening process. ekwellfan
UEFA rules now dictate that all players eligible for first team selection in their competitions must have an ECG an Echocardiogram and an annual cardiovascular screening medical . I believe hampden offers ECg and echocardiography for any player who requires it.
huggins
I see a Goalkeeper down at Rushden and Diamonds has died today. Don't think it was on the pitch or at training though. BBC
mwellhighland
Is it a coincidence the number of heart related deaths has significantly increased since RedBull and similar energy drinks became popular
