spud123
After leaving Bradford City, he joined Sheffield United, where he also took up a coaching role.[55] When he retired in 2004, he remained at Sheffield United as assistant to Neil Warnock.[73] Working alongside Warnock and learning the managerial ropes from him,[74][75] he helped mastermind Sheffield's promotion to the Premier League in 2006.[76] United were relegated to the Championship on the final day of the 2006–07 season and Warnock resigned three days later.[77][78] McCall had already decided that the 2006–07 season would be his last as assistant manager,[9] and when he was overlooked as a successor to the United manager's position, in favour of Bryan Robson, he decided to leave after five years with the club.[73] can he count neil warnock as a contact, hope so,maybe get a couple of "duds"who cant make it into the first team who are flying high at the top of the championship
Jonesy
What about Tommy Craig's contacts? I can remember him working at Newcastle for a while, so might still have some contacts there, or perhaps even with Kenny Dalglish at Liverpool depending on whether there spells at Newcastle overlapped. Not sure where else Craig has some influence.
