Lobey_Dosser
It's certainly interesting to note that Aberdeen fans, and now those of Dundee United, appear to want Blackman. Tough titties if, as McCall says, he comes back North it's only to Fir Park. I don't believe that for a second.

LadywellToi
I don't believe that for a second. I'm a gentleman and I have a gentleman's agreement with the club, this will be my last role in football before retiring .... Gaz
Blackman's just signed a new 2 1/2 year deal with Blackburn. Looks like this wil pave the way for another 6-month loan. Let the bun fight commence. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport...ackman/?ref=rss

one_luc_nijholt
Fitzpatrick not in the squad tonight; more to come on that, perhaps will be replaced by Forbes: We'll have the team for you when it arrives
Jay
Fitzpatrick has left the club apparently to sign for a first division side. Good luck to him if it's true. Never a stand out but a good squad player who put a shift in when required. Unfortunately for him he was just another in a list of players given the job of doing the dirty work on the park. Fir Park's never been the kindest place to those guys (Darren Fletcher would probably get abused by the East Stand if didn't turn up and spring 40 yard passes about). He also suffered from the "Shaun Fagan Effect" - ie. scoring a memorable goal and then failing to go on from that and be utterly world class. Reckon he's got the ability to be a very good First Division regular, regardless of which mob he goes to so good luck, no doubt the best move for his career. siebsbarmyarmy
Agree 100% Jay! Good luck Fitzy! Hope you succeed in your career! Oh well another one down! Does anyone want to stay at FP! Disappointed that Forbes will be on the wing! More reasons for another young player to get protege as he is out of position!

underboyleheating
Just shows the level we operate at when Ross County can offer better terms to one of our squad players.
Jay
Just shows the level we operate at when Ross County can offer better terms to one of our squad players. To be fair, not really. McCall's just said that he's away as he's been offered a "better deal". A better deal doesn't automatically mean more wages.
Big Stall
Or maybe its not about money. Maybe its about a fresh start. He has been here 7 years after all and is often on the sidelines, never mind the abuse he gets from the east stand (I'm guilty of it myself)
siebsbarmyarmy
More likely security! Ross County do pay very very well tho! Prob get a 2year deal there! Joining Dairy Lea Smith in a Motherwell cOmmunity!

Lobey_Dosser
Length of contract will have been the clincher for Fitzpatrick. Furthermore, if we wanted to offer him more money I'm sure we could have. All the best Marc.
Big Stall
Radio just announced same money but longer deal. Fair play to him. Job security and all that, not many of us in the real world can argue with that.

Aye, can't fault him at all for taking it. Getting the same wages but more job security for a start, not to mention a far greater chance of more first team football and less abuse. He'd have been insane not to take it. Good luck to him.
