The Francis Jeffers Thread

There'll be a few folk not knowing whether to be happy or beiling tonight. I mean Jeffers proves not to be a total dud and McCall produces the great result our recent play has merited (excluding Ibrox). Confusing times for some...

One goal doesn't make him a great striker, but he's certainly done himself no harm, and can hopefully add another one or two in the games against Accies and St Mirren.

Hence why I said not a total dud.

Didn't listen to the commentary, but folk said they were raving about him, and Langfield had to make 2 or 3 excellent saves to deny him. So yeah, he's done himself no harm and I'd say he's started with some promise.

I said on Saturday, I thought Jeffers looked half decent when he came on, and listening to the commentry lastnight it sounded as though he has some real skills and a proper menace to the Aberdeen defence.

Lets hope he continues to get better, a couple of goals against the accies will set him up nicely for our run in.

He's already proved more than Casagolda so for that reason at least he deserves to be cut a bit of slack. Not much worse than writing someone off before they even kick a ball so well done Franny, keep it up son/man/auld yin

Good post FC. Franny has made a good start. Knowing nothing about English football and caring even less, when he signed I didn't know what to believe. He might do well for us he might not - time will tell. Too many folk prejudged him on the basis of what they had read or viewed on the telly.

Why?

I'm delighted he's scored for us and while 18 goals in 10 years is an improvement on 17 goals in 10 years, I still dont think SPL defences will be losing any sleep over the new goal king at Fir Park.

My opinion remains unaltered.

Who cares about what happened in the past ? its now that counts ! And 1 goal in 1 start is good enough for me !!
