This should make the last 3 games a wee bit more exciting for us . We need to try and keep the number of yellow cards down and cut out any reds.

Where will we play our home games if Fir Park isn't ready ? and who is going to cancel their holidays ( players and fans ) Aye it exciting times right enough being a well fan

Yeah, shouting at players NOT to put a tackle in, don't play for the jersey, show no commitment and onwards to glory!

It's a bit of a strange situation to be in where we aren't really playing for anything apart from to avoid bookings and to behave ourselves. Of course, we want the team to play for the jersey, but if we keep it calm the now - plenty time to show committment when we're in Europe. Which is something, I'm sure, we all want to see.

What holidays, I would have to borrow money from a rich relative to be able to afford one.

Lets hope the 'delegate' canny make the game at NDP.

Fair Play Wednesday, 13 May 2009

Detailed revealed

1279790.jpgThe club yesterday received confirmation from the SFA of the criteria which is used to calculate the Fair Play table.

The Assessment Form identifies six criteria (components) for the evaluation of the Fair Play performance of the teams.

The evaluation stresses positive rather than negative aspects. The individual items of the assessment range from red and yellow cards, positive play, respect towards the opponents, respect towards the match officials, behaviour of team officials and behaviour of the crowd.

The club can influence the first five but the last item, behaviour of the crowd, is where we need your help. We have three games remaining between now and the end of the campaign and you could play a pivotal role in helping the club make a return to European football.

Guidelines given to the club state:

“The crowd is considered to be an organic component of a football game. The support of the fans may contribute to the success of the team. The crowd is not expected to watch the game in silence. Encouragement of the teams by shouting, non-abusive singing, etc. may have a positive influence on the atmosphere in accordance with the spirit of Fair Play.

"The spectators are, however, expected to respect the opponents and the referee. They should appreciate the performance of the opposition even if they emerge as winners. They should in no way intimidate or frighten opponents, the referee or opposing supporters.”

In light of that, we would ask fans to positively get behind the team in the last three games and leave an impression on the SPL delegate in attendance.

The club would also request that, similar to the past three years, fans remain off the park and in the stands following the full-time whistle at the Kilmarnock game next week.

This will allow the players and management to salute and thank you all for your fantastic support throughout the season and it won’t jeopardise our Fair Play place.

The club should ask Butcher to go onto the field after the game tonight and applaud the 'Well fans. He'd get a great reception in return which could count as brownie points!

I'm gonna write to Chick Young to complain that the SPL have a vendetta against us with regard to the post split fixtures and they have deliberately set the fixtures up so that we need to face Brian Kerr, Maurice Malpas, Hamilton Accies, their ugly fans and of course James McCarthy in the run in - all that on top of ruining our end of season invasion. A complete stitch up.

Tonight's delegate is Gerry Collins. He was Partick manager when we "persuaded" Craggo and Toastie to jump ship. Wonder what mark we'll get off him tonight.............

Saturday's is George Douglas. He's the former head of security at Shellic.

Kaf⋅ka⋅esque –adjective

1. of, pertaining to, characteristic of, or resembling the literary work of Franz Kafka: the Kafkaesque terror of the endless interrogations.

2. marked by a senseless, disorienting, often menacing complexity: Kafkaesque bureaucracies.

That was Hearts fans mate. There no-where near us in the Fairplay league though.

Well according to the papers, Hibs are one of our nearest challengers.

Hearts on the other hand, are NO challengers whatsoever as they will clinch the Europa place through league position anyway.

But, it may not have been the Hibs fans that encroached onto the pitch and therefore won't be penalised for that offence. But, surely Riordan's antic's directed towards the Hearts fans. The mere provocation of his celebration, was the fact of the Hearts fans entering the pitch. So, surely Riordan's "celebration" could perhaps affect Hibs points scoring in the table.

Either way still maintain St Midden are our only real competitors. And with Mason being booked in the 1st half. It's another card to add to our cushion.

im making a plea to my fellow well fans for the last game of the season not to invade the pitch as part of the sfa criteria is fan behaviour and i would be really gutted if we missed out on europe because of a few daftys im sure my fellow well fans would back me up on this one as europe 2 years in a row would be a great achievement for the club and extra money that hasnt been counted for
